Lia Marson is the founder of SAY IT IN SPANISH Language Services. She is originally from Argentina, where she received a B.A. in Theology and completed a teacher’s certification.
In her last year at Law School in Buenos Aires, and in the midst of political disarray in her country, she decided to move to Canada.
In Toronto, she initially worked for a large insurance company as a Spanish translator and in the area of systems analysis; simultaneously she enrolled in the Spanish specialist program at the University of Toronto and completed her certificate in Adult Education at Brock University. At this point she was invited to teach Spanish at the Faculty of Continuous Education of Seneca College; and later, at the Liberal Arts Department.
For the past ten years, Lia has successfully taught Spanish in Seneca College and in corporations. She also spends a substantial amount of time researching the latest trends in teaching methodology, and testing new material. She regularly attends seminars, and workshops offered in Spain and Latin America. She is convinced that her unique and varied combination of education, work, and life experiences has prepared her well for her latest endeavor: helping her corporate students learn Spanish in an unfailingly interesting and exciting way. |
